“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” Psalm 78:4 ESV

“What are you thankful for today?”

A beloved gentleman in our church used to ask this question of everyone, in nearly every conversation.  It got to the point that when you knew you were going to see him, you knew you needed to have an answer.  After all, you knew he was going to ask!

This week as we enjoy a time of Thanksgiving with family and friends, let us tell our children of our thankfulness to God.  Let’s tell them of the mighty works God has done, the prayers He has answered, and the promises He has made to those who love Him.  Thankfulness is always a great topic of conversation, as well as a great state of mind!
