Do you remember?

Parent’s Corner- March 24, 2019

“You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

Deuteronomy 8:18 ESV

How is your memory?  I know mine is not what it once was, but I’m working to try and improve that.  I give myself reminders on my phone, on my calendar, on the mirror. . . places where I’m going to see them, places where they are going to jog my memory, perhaps even somewhere unexpected in order to capture the added “element of surprise”.

This week, we took time in our Sunday school classes to review remember the lessons we have studied over the last few weeks.  Games were played, illustrations were observed, verses were recited. . . many different activities were used to allow the children to remember what they had been taught.  What did they remember?  Remember to ask them!  Repetition is a great tool to use for remembering as well. . .  repeated information often sticks!

This Week in Sunday School. . .
