At an acceptable time

Parent’s Corner- March 8, 2020

“But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD.  At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love, answer me in your saving faithfulness.”  Psalm 69:13

Prayers can take many forms and can be offered in a variety of ways.  They can be outpourings of love and thankfulness.  They can be cries of the heart.  They can be questions on confessions, seeking wisdom and understanding.  All of these prayers are received and heard by our Loving God.  He has promised to hear and answer our prayers.  We need to trust in His timing for that answer.  What a wonderful concept for our children to understand. . . God knows you.  God hears you when you pray.  God will answer you!

In our lessons today our younger students learned about the importance of thanking God for the blessings He gives us. Our older students studied the importance of prayer in their lives, learning from the prayers of Jesus Himself.  May they all know that God loves them, and that He loves to hear their prayers. . . and answer them!!!
