Not On Our Own

Parent’s Corner- May 10, 2020

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”  Psalm 55:22

How have you experienced God’s sustaining power in these very strange days?

Have you been encouraged as you have read your Bible?

Have you received an encouraging word from a friend?

Have you enjoyed a stream of sunshine coming in your window?

These are all ways that the Lord cares for us.

In these very strange days, I have been encouraged that it is of utmost importance that we rely on the Lord’s strength and not on our own.  He knows us, he loves us, and he wants us to trust him.  One of the most important things we can do for our children is to teach them that lesson by modeling it for them.  Granted, some days this is easier said than done!  Those are the days we can point to the Lord’s strength and admit our own weaknesses.

May the Lord equip and encourage you today, and may you find your strength in Him!
