Parent’s Corner- February 27, 2022

“Let not your hearts be troubled.  Believe in God; believe also in me.”  John 14:1 ESV

We tackled some tough topics in our children’s classes this morning.  We talked about stormy seas in the 2s/3s class, dealing with fear in times of trouble in the Sunday school classes, and fear of the unknown in Children’s Church.  Internal struggles, external physical struggles, emotional struggles with fear. . . these trials are all very real, and ones that we all face at various times in our lives.

Praise God, we also discussed the constant that is there in the midst of all of our trials. . . Jesus!  Jesus is the one who can calm the stormy sea (both inside and out).  Jesus is the one we can cry out to in times of trouble, and Jesus is the one who can direct us to the plan God has for us.  I pray that we will teach our children, both in words and by example, that Jesus is the one who can calm our troubled hearts, and that we can trust Him to do so.
