We gather every Lord’s Day for a covenant renewal service of worship in which we commune with the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Spirit. Experiencing God’s presence and work, hearing his welcome and word, and responding with worship, prayer, and thanksgiving, we find ourselves revealed and renewed as his New Covenant people.
On this day we continue in this season of preparation, repentance, and longing for the work of God promised in Christ. Our hearts are being prepared for the events leading up to the crucifixion and look forward to the resurrection and crowning of our King, Christ Jesus our Lord.
"And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, 'Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!'"
Matthew 21:9
On Palm Sunday, our Lord Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem to the cheers of the crowd, but before the end of the week they were shouting, "Crucify him!" Why? We will address that question as we gather on this opening day of Holy Week.
