JV Kids “Stand Firm”

Almost two years ago, Claire Patty went out from our church to serve with Josiah Venture. She works with the children of JV missionaries in Central and Eastern Europe. Having grown up a JV kid herself, she is uniquely equipped by the Lord to minister to these kids while they serve on mission with their families.

Recently, Claire helped lead a JV Kids camp with the theme “Stand Firm.” The camp encouraged kids to persevere in their faith and put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6) to withstand the spiritual warfare they face on the mission field. Praise God for the opportunity these kids had to ask deep questions and grow in their knowledge of Him! Please be in prayer that the Lord would continue to bring Ephesians 6 to mind in their day-to-day lives.

Another recent milestone is the launch of a JV Kids quarterly newsletter. The newsletter will provide updates, tools, and resources for parents and camp leaders. Claire also hopes that it will help to unify the families of JV kids serving across Central and Eastern Europe.

Prayer Requests

• Claire’s church in Czech seems to be getting larger every week! Praise God for the growth. Pray that He would provide a bigger meeting place when the church outgrows the school cafeteria where they currently gather.

• Pray for two JV families who will soon be moving back to the States, that the Lord would be with their kids in the difficulty of this cultural transition.

• Praise God for Claire’s years of ministry with JV, and pray that her faith in Christ would be a firm foundation on which she can rest. Pray that the Lord would continue to give her courage and compassion to respond to the needs of JV Kids.
