Holy Week at Grace Church of DuPage
April 13–20, 2024
Join us in person Sunday, April 13th, at 10:30am, or you can stream the service online.
Palm Sunday brings a magnified sense of preparation, repentance, and cultivated longing for the completion of the work God has promised to us in Christ. We are being prepared to remember the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection, and even to anticipate the future return of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ the Lord.
Join us in person Thursday, April 17th, at 7pm, or stream the service online!
Maundy Thursday gatherings at Grace Church are simple services of Scripture, song, and supplication as we seek to hear and heed Jesus’ “new commandment” to love one another (“Maundy” is derived from the Latin mandatum, commandment). We also observe communion during this gathering, just as it was instituted by our Lord Jesus in the upper room on that night. All are welcome to join us as we replay the events of Jesus’ final night with his disciples in preparation for Good Friday and Easter.
Join us in person Friday, April 18th, at 7pm, or stream the service online!
This service is a time to remember the varied and undeserved sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ, and his death on the cross to atone for our sin. Song, prayer, and reading from God's Word make this a special time for our church family as we long deeply to celebrate his resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday!
Join us in person Sunday, April 20th, at 10:30am, or you can stream the service online.
On Easter Sunday we gather to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior and King, the Lord Jesus Christ, and to cultivate our longing for the ultimate fulfillment of all the promises of God that are guaranteed by it—particularly His promises to rescue and heal us from the brokenness of our sin, to clothe us in resurrection bodies just like Jesus’ body, and to usher in the new heavens and new earth where we will live with Him forever. We worship and adore Him, knowing that this future deliverance is just as certain as Jesus’ resurrection!
