Parent’s Corner- October 6, 2019

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours.  Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.”  1 Chronicles 29:11 ESV

There are some amazing examples of God’s power represented in our children’s lessons this week. . . God tumbling the walls of Jericho, God forgiving sin, and God saving Noah.  God’s power is evident in big ways such as this, as well as “smaller” ways that would be evidenced in our everyday life.   Has worry or anxiety been lifted?  Has contentment been found?  Have relationships been restored?  These are also examples of God’s power!  Make a list as a family.  God’s power is all around us, and we can be thankful for it all!

This week in Sunday school. . . .

4s-5th Grade- Jesus Forgives Sin

1.     God remembered Noah and caused the flood waters to recede.

2.     Noah responded to God’s grace.

3.     God gave instructions to mankind through Noah.

4.     God promised not to judge the world with a flood again.

5.     God is faithful to keep His promises.
