Faith in the Journey
Parent’s Corner- January 23, 2022
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1
Faith lives in our hearts, but it is displayed outwardly by our actions. The friends of the lame man had faith that Jesus would heal him. Their faith went so far as to climb on the roof and lower their friend down to the room where Jesus taught. Abraham climbed a mountain with his son in faith, knowing that God would provide for their needs in their sacrifice. Our Sunday school curriculum states that “Abraham’s behavior before God was directed by his belief in God.” (GoG teacher’s guide) God examined Abraham’s faith and determined that it was real.
As we go about our week this week, may our “inside” match our “outside”, and may we display faith that would encourage others to have faith in the Lord as well!
