I've heard that before!

“Do everything without complaining or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God.”
Philippians 2:14
Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? Have you found your toes tapping and your voice humming a tune at various times during the day? Music sticks with you! There is a reason why many kids learn Bible verses best when they are attached to music. This is one of those verses for me! I have long forgotten which CD this came from, but I can hear the song in my head whenever I read the verse. . . “do everything without complaining, do everything without arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God.” I know we sang it often when my three boys were growing up. I’m sure it was often for my own benefit as well! They may have been complaining about sharing a toy or eating vegetables, but I’m sure I was also guilty of complaining about another load of laundry and taking the vacuum for another spin on the crum laden floor under the table!
God provided for the Israelites, but they complained that it wasn’t just how they wanted it. God is displeased when we complain. He is a good and generous provider. . . May we learn to be thankful and grateful for His gracious provision by thanking Him for the many blessings in our lives!
