“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

Have you ever looked through a magnifying glass?  The image you see in the glass is enlarged, and much bigger than the way you are used to viewing it.  You might see more texture, more detail, or even imperfections that are not able to be seen when we look at it with our eyes only.  Sometimes, it looks so different that we don’t even recognize it when we look at it apart from its bigger whole.

Our lives can look like that.  When we look at one experience or event on its own, we might be fearful, confused, or even angry when it looks different than what we would want or expect.  As believers, we can trust in the Lord who sees the whole picture, not only in greater width and breadth, but as the experience fits into a greater whole.  In our stories today, we can see how pieces and parts might not make sense as we view them, but they can add to our understanding of God and His ways when we look at them through His eyes.  God loves us, and He can be trusted!
