This is our annual fall women's event, and we'll be gathering for worship and prayer in the fireside room. This year, the focus will be around lament. Following Pastor Worley's recent sermon on lament, we'll guide the women through a time of singing and praying prayers of lament in small groups -- lament over our sin, lament over our present circumstances, and finally pleading with the Lord to return and establish His kingdom on earth. Our hope is that the women of the church will be encouraged in the reminder that the Lord cares for our circumstances, and that this evening will train us in the practice of lamenting those circumstances before the God who sees them and will return to rescue us.
