If you have not yet heard through your news source of choice, tensions are escalating between Armenia and their neighboring country, Azerbaijan. Fighting broke out this past Sunday, following the deadly clashes that took place in July. There is a long history to this hostility, one you can read about in any number of articles that are being published as news sources report on the recent clashes. My reason for writing to you today is to ask you to pray for our Global Outreach partners in this region.

Read MoreEarlier this summer Grace Church donated $300 toward the VBS program at Grace Baptist church in Artashat. Pastor Ray was able to deliver this money in person during his recent trip to Armenia. Early last week we received an email from Asatur with pictures from their week of VBS.
Read MoreI arrived in Armenia very early Saturday morning Oct 7. Sunday Oct 8, I preached at Central Baptist church in the capital Yerevan. Asatur and I had lunch (lahmajo - kind of like a personal pizza) followed by baklava & coffee with their Youth Minister (Roman, a seminary student) and his unsaved brother-in-law. Much of the time was spent in sharing the gospel with him.

Read MorePastor Ray is off to Armenia for a few weeks. He left October 5th and will arrive back home on the 21st. He will be preaching two of the Sundays that he is there. He will also be spending a large amount of his time at the Theological Seminary of Armenia.

Vova teaches Bible studies and preaches at Russian worship services. Sasoon serves Armenians living in Georgia and reaches out to his local Georgian, Turkish, and Jewish neighbors
