Satisfy Us with Your Grace (Psalm 38)
Words/Music: Daryle Worley, III, 2022
First shared March 13, 2022
Lord, rebuke me not in anger,
Do not discipline in wrath.
Your conviction, like an arrow,
Has found out my soul at last.
Sin is buried in my chest,
It has ruled each word and breath;
Let Your arrow do its work, Lord,
Lay my sin in dust of death.
In my heart and in my body,
Sin has left its wounds and sores.
I am broken, often falling,
And I cry: "How long, O Lord,
Till my body is made new
And my heart be free from gloom?"
Come, break in upon each trial;
Lord, my only hope is You.
You are Lord of my salvation,
Lord of all my life and breath;
Near to all the broken-hearted
Who cry out to You for rest.
O, hear all Your saints today
As we call on You in faith.
And as we await Your healing,
Satisfy us with Your grace.
