To Remain and to Believe

In You I stay and do not leave
My flesh can doubt, but I believe
Jesus, Lord, Creator, King
By His grace to Him I cling
When my faith is growing faint
Christ will hold me to the end
He in me and I in Him
With the Father one to be

When I fall His hand is sure
Jesus brings the sinners home
Never leaves or says a word
To discourage any soul
In Him my hope will ever be
To remain and to believe

None who comes He turns away
Jesus came to heal and save
Mercy flows from Him to all
Love calls for the weak and low
Streams of water to the soul
Makes it clean and ready for
Fellowship with saints below
From above more grace to flow

If a sheep is sick and weak
Jesus knows and starts to seek
Finds, restores, and brings her home
By the Spirit He will call
At His Word so clear and sweet
She will, happy, come to Him
The Good Shepherd makes her soul
Like it was before the fall

When I fall His hand is sure
Jesus brings the sinners home
Never leaves or says a word
To discourage any soul...

If I’m faithless He remains
Faithful to the very end
For He promised not to leave
What the Father wills to give
In Him my hope will ever be
To remain and to believe
