How will you share your blessings?

Parent’s Corner- July 12, 2020

“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.”  1 Corinthians 4:2 ESV

“God made you special, and He loves you very much!” Bob the Tomato, in just about every Veggie Tale episode!

God loved people so much, that He gave them the great responsibility of being stewards of His creation.  Jesus loved people so much, that He wanted everyone to hear His good news.  He sent his followers on just that task, to bring His good news to all!  We see Paul doing just that in our lesson today.  Paul was willing to share the Good news even when it was hard, even when he was in a strange city, and even when his audience didn’t always want to listen to him.

We can be faithful stewards of the gifts God has given us, and the Good news He has shared with us.  How will you share your blessings and the Good news with your neighbors today?

This week’s lessons. . .

2s/3s- Take Good Care of My World- the Story of Adam and Eve in the Garden

Scripture- Genesis 1:26-31, 2:18-25

Lesson Truth- People are the most special part of God’s creation.

Aims for the Children- To do at least one of the following during the lesson:

1.     Tell who made people

2.     Name the first people God created

3.     Identify themselves as people God made

Additional Activities-

1.     Encourage children how “special and important” people are, as they are made in God’s own image and likeness.  God gave people a very special job.

2.     Take some time to look at baby pictures. . . both of the kids and of parents!  God created each one of these babies on purpose.  Look what kind of work God has given these babies to do in their lives so far!
