Camp Starts Tomorrow!

We finished up a great three days of orientation today. Karis did a great job planning our sessions. They were fun, informative, and great for helping us to prepare for the week ahead.

Day 1 Down!

We were met by Karis at the airport and whisked away to a day of touring the Capitol of Slovenia, Ljubljana. We had great time taking in the views from a local castle, eating pizza and ice cream, and getting to know the JV team. Now we're in Ptuj where we will have our first orientation session before crashing and getting much needed sleep.

We're getting a better picture of all that we'll be doing in Slovenia and growing in excitement to see how God uses us to serve our Christian brothers and sisters in Slovenia as we put on this outreach camp for the Slovenian youth.

Teamwork That Talks

Someone once said, "It is teamwork that enables common men to do uncommon things." Another has said, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Both of these quotes are inspiring when it comes to thinking of what can be accomplished by a team. However, neither of them come close to the powerful picture of teamwork given in John 13:34-35.

Big Plans!

We're now in full fundraising mode! While everything is in the planning stage we'll be getting into the actual work very soon. So far we've already ordered our "Support Slovenia" T-Shirts ($15 if you'd like one!), we're working on writing our support raising letters, and we're planning our big fundraising dinner on April 17th.

While there is plenty of training, fundraising, and planning ahead of us, we are looking forward to June 29th, when we will begin our Slovenia journey.

Ending Well

We have finished the English camp, visited Macedonia, and seen Tirana. Today is our last full day in the beautiful country of Albania. It is amazing how quickly the time has passed.

Tomorrow's the Big Day

With one more night before camp, we went out to the streets to invite more high schoolers to the camp. This was a great way to bond with the church leaders as well as meet many new people.
